Kari Samantha (born April 28 in 1967) Wuhrer is a famous American singer and actress. She began her professional career as a teenager and is best known for her roles as Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders and also as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), an accountant for payroll, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a automobile salesman. The couple has three brothers. She started singing at clubs as a teenager, and would sneak out of her house in order to perform.
